Meet Aaron - owner and lead tutor at Quarry Tutoring Academy, LLC.
Aaron has been tutoring for nearly a decade.
He formed Quarry Tutoring Academy, LCC with the mission to enrich both the education and imagination of his students through building a love for games and storytelling. His unique, socratic approach teaches executive functioning, builds social skills, and encourages curiosity in all areas of life.
As a writer, Aaron has written numerous scripts for film, television, and stage. He has a degree in English from The Ohio State University. Aaron’s diverse educational background makes him an excellent extracurricular coach in many areas - chess, backgammon, thesis writing, reading programs, guitar, and homework help.
His mentorship is for anyone who wants to prepare for college, cultivate their creative voice, and develop their artistic worldview.
Aaron has tutored hundreds of students in NYC, Westchester, Greenwich CT, the Hamptons, Park City, UT, Los Angeles, CA, Columbus, OH, and online all over the globe.
Aaron’s Approach
Just like every novel, every film, every song, there is a story to every game. There is a beginning, a middle, and an end. QTA’s narrative approach to tutoring games like chess and backgammon breaks down the games into understandable sections which makes learning approachable, engaging, conversational, and inquisitive.
